Sicily is a land of a thousand faces and a thousand facets. A unique landscape, a history of architectural and monumental magnificence where antiquities and local traditions show themselves in all their splendor. A continuous alternation of colors, smells and flavors that displace the mind and soul. Therefore, our wonderful Sicily offers the possibility of making many types of excursions, suitable for couples, families with children, groups of friends:


The first “mandatory” stop is certainly Etna, majestic and spectacular, the largest active volcano in Europe; white in winter and red in summer, with its lapilli sprayed high for hundreds of meters. Etna Nord offers a variety of landscapes in which both the most carefree tourist and the most expert hiker can have fun and live the experience they dreamed of. It is possible to trek on the nature trails that lead to Monte Nero, Monte Timpa Rossa, Monti Sartorius, the craters of 2002, or visit the lava flow caves. For those wishing to reach the summit craters by trekking, it is possible to do so, but it is necessary to be accompanied by an expert alpine/volcanological guide.


Not to be missed in the area, the spectacular Alcantara gorges, which can be reached by crossing Castiglione di Sicilia, that is classified as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Among the many excursions and activities that can be done at the Alcantara Botanical and Geological Park, Body Rafting is undoubtedly at the top of the list for the emotions that two hours of river descent will give you and for the simplicity of the activity which makes it possible for a broad spectrum of people to live an unforgettable adventure.


This excursion will take you to the highest reachable point of Etna. Starting from “Rifugio Sapienza” by cable car, you will reach an altitude of 2500 meters. Then you will continue to “Torre del Filosofo” - the base of the summit craters at an altitude of 2900 meters - with 4×4 off-road vehicles, from where you can admire the Valle del Bove depression and the splendid Ionian coast. For those wishing to reach the summit craters by trekking, it is possible to do so, but it is necessary to be accompanied by an expert alpine / volcanological guide.


A special mention must be made for Taormina, the pearl of the Ionian Sea, with its beautiful natural landscapes such as the enchanting Isola Bella, with the remains of extraordinary monuments left by ancient civilizations such as the magnificent ancient Theater. Not to be missed are also Palazzo Corvaja, the Fortress Cathedral, the Badia Vecchia, the Palazzo Duca di Santo Stefano and much more. It will be possible to shop in the exclusive shops that alternate with the artisan shops. The second stop not to be missed is Castelmola, where you can visit the ruins of the Norman walls and Piazza Duomo with the Mother Church and walk through the characteristic streets of the town. You cannot miss an espresso in the famous Turrisi bar. Last, but not least, Giardini Naxos, the “small Taormina”, where you can make beautiful boat trips to discover the bay of Taormina (Grotta Azzurra, Grotta dei Coralli and Grotta dell'Amore) and the Isola Bella nature reserve. You will be fascinated by the Grotta Azzurra, where a game of reflections creates a backdrop of a unique and exciting color.


There are many wineries in the area that allow you to make excellent tastings of Sicilian wines, accompanied by prepared sommeliers that will make you appreciate the complexity of the Etna grapes, all with a taste of typical products.


Donkey rides give the opportunity to know the Etna area in a definitely fascinating and suggestive way. An ancient and genuine way to taste the magical places of our volcano, following paths at the rhythm marked by the donkeys' hooves. The walks vary in duration and itineraries.


On the back of beautiful horses, fun is guaranteed. Horseback riding and excursions vary in duration, itineraries and difficulties and are addressed at all horse lovers of all levels.


To live unique adventures, Etna can be visited by quad, to discover the Etna landscape in a unique way! The quad tours start from routes immersed in the secular “Pineta Ragabo”, a pinewood in which you can find old lava flows and lava flow caves. You can admire extinct craters that emerge between the green lung of Etna.


With this excursion, you will leave comfortably from your accommodation and you will visit one of the most enchanting landscapes of Sicily: Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. You will reach naturalistic places of great interest, such as the lower lava front of the last major eruption of 2002, lava flow caves, ancient and new lava flows, extinct craters and various other very suggestive naturalistic sites, reachable just by off-road or trekking. At the end of the excursion, you will be taken back to the starting point or you can continue the excursion with lunch that can be done in a mountain refuge-restaurant or in a wine cellar.

The Etna Tour involves flying over the 2002 flow, the Piano Provenzana ski resort and the entire Etna area, reaching an altitude of 3600 m.
