Mount Etna is one of the most iconic active volcanoes of the world and an extraordinary example of geological continues processes and volcanic formations. The stratovolcano is characterized by the almost continuous eruptive activity from the craters of its summit and by fairly frequent eruptions and lava flows from the craters and cracks on its sides.

This exceptional volcanic activity is one of the world's longest documented records of historical volcanism. The summit craters, cinder cones, lava flows, lava caves and the Valle del Bove depression have made Mount Etna a prime destination.

At about 10 km from the B&B there is “Pineta Ragabo”, the largest coniferous forest in the south of Europe, where, in the spring-autumn period, it is possible to follow numerous naturalistic paths (also lava flow caves), on foot, by mountain bike, quad biking or horseback riding, or continue with off-road minibuses to the top areas of the volcano, while in winter it is possible to practice skiing at the tourist resort of Piano Provenzana.

At about 12 km, near the sea in the municipality of Fiumefreddo, there is the oriented natural reserve “Fiumefreddo”, where there are particularly cold water sources.

At about 15 km, there are the wide and golden beaches of Giardini Naxos and Taormina, enchanting places where you can enjoy the wonderful sea and the warm sun of Sicily, where you can make boat trips and diving, or visit interesting archaeological areas and museums.

At a short distance from Linguaglossa, about 18 km, on the Ionian coast, there is the Tourist Port of Riposto, the “Riviera dei Ciclopi”, with its interesting Natural Reserve of the Island of Lachea, and the urban centers of Acireale and Catania. Do not forget the two romantic seaside villages, Acicastello and Acitrezza, an area in which small mini cruises can be made.

Mountain and sea are not the only naturalistic attractions that can be easily reached from Linguaglossa. At about 20 km from the B&B there is the Alcantara river, which flows within the singular "gorges" carved by the river in the columnar basalts of Etna.

The municipality of Linguaglossa offers its visitors many opportunities for recreation (municipal swimming pool, tennis courts, gyms and an 18-hole golf course at just 3 km from the town) and historical and cultural attractions. The historic center of the town is full of churches, palaces, squares and characteristic basalt-paved alleys. At Piazza Annunziata, you can visit the Ethnographic Museum hosted by the town's Pro-Loco. It is also possible to taste the typical wines of Etna and numerous local specialties at the various wineries. Nature, snow, sun, sport, culture, local traditions, food and wine and the "Fire of Etna" await you in Linguaglossa.
